My Favorite Places to Get a Bargain

A while ago I said that I was going to start my own version of Oprah's favorite things. I did my favorite beauty products. I have a million other things I could be doing right now, but I don't feel like it. I also have a number of pictures and stories to post about, but instead I sit here typing about my favorite places to get a bargain. So here they are... (not in any order)

1. Big Lots - You can almost always find some sort of treasure. Planters, seasonal decor, vases, frames, baby stuff, even furniture.

2. CraigsList.com - An online classified section. You're sure to find something near where you live, and if not you can post a wanted ad. You can look for jobs, vacation properties, furniture, etc.

3. HomeGoods

4. TJ MAXX

5. Burlington Coat Factory

6. Ross

#4-6 - ALWAYS filled with treasures!!!

7. Rugged Wearhouse - Lots of discount clothing

8. Value City Furniture Warehouse - Incredible prices, VERY hit or miss, though.

9. Ebay - EVERYTHING you can possibly imagine.

10. Target - Can't go wrong with the bullseye.

Walmart, Linens N' Things, and The Children's Place get honorable mentions for their amazing clearence sales! But, there are always bargains to be found anywhere you go. You just have to be looking for them. Oh and praying always helps me too. Let me know your favorite places to get a bargain.

  1. Ross and Childrens Place are definatly two of my favorites! I've only been to Ross out in Colorado though, and we don't have a Children's Place in Wausau. Ebay is great too! I just love to shop!

  2. Definately our local Goodwill store! Before moving here I wasn't a Goodwill shopper unless I needed some kind of hideous costum or a baby Jesus for a Christmas play. But when I heard that our local Target sends its clearanced and open packaged items to the Goodwill one block from our church, I became an avid shopper there! Some of the best bargains of my life (so far) have been found at our South Toledo Goodwill store.

  3. That's a great list! Big Lots is great for a bargin. I have to say Walmart can be good for a deal....even though it's so irritating to shop there sometimes. I do love Target as well, especially the dollar section in the front of the store. I hit the jackpot there a couple weeks ago when I went and they had a ton of Napoleon Dynamite stuff for a dollar. Love it!!!
